Transforming your bathroom doesn’t necessarily mean getting a load of expensive kit installed. It could simply be a change in design, like the colour scheme perhaps, or even adding some textures here and there.

We’ve come up with a few easy, money saving techniques you can try to completely change the whole look and feel of your bathroom!

  1. Colour

Let’s be honest, a lot of bathrooms usually go by the same kind of colour schemes. Some of the most common are probably whites, blues, greys, creams – but yours doesn’t have to be the same! There are many interesting things you can do to use colour to transform your bathroom, like going for something really bold on the walls, or having your whole bathroom in a plain and easy colour like white, and then taking advantage of things like cupboards, towels, and accessories to implement a much more bright and eye catching colours!

  1. Accessories

There are lots of ways you can use accessories to add a bit of character to your bathroom. One way to do this, as we have just touched on, is to choose accessories of a bold and bright color, like a red, that will really capture attention and be a nice stand out in what otherwise may be a bit of a plain and simple background. Furthermore, you can use accessories to really make your bathroom different, especially if you go for little quirky and different bits and bobs that collectively go down a storm together.

  1. Shelves

Now this may be a bit of an unusual thing to suggest as shelves are quite a small and simple addition. However, it can really have an impact on your bathroom’s overall appearance. It makes things look neat and tidy, and following on from the previous point, could be a great area to show off and display some little accessories. Whatever way you use shelves in your bathroom, it’s a great way to add a bit of a focal point.

  1. Texture

Perhaps you don’t really want to go through the hassle of having your whole bathroom re-decorated? Not to worry, you can have your bathroom looking brand new and fresh by simply adding a bit of texture. This helps to make the bathroom look quite classy and impressive. For example, you could change your shower curtain for something a bit more textured, with a funky pattern on it, or even add a bit of marble here and there.

  1. Lighting

I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say, lighting is key. Seeing as bathrooms are generally kept quite plain with colours like white and grey, it’s the perfect opportunity to find a nice, fancy light to spruce the place up a bit! There are so many different ways you can use lighting in your bathroom, and what better time to start experimenting?!

  1. Or, go all out!

This blog has been mostly based on little changes, that don’t incur a big cost or a lot of work, but that doesn’t mean to say that you can’t go all out. It all depends on the budget of money you are willing to spend, but if you really want a change, why hold back? Replace things, change your flooring, add a nice new jacuzzi bath, a big shower, or a fancy faucet on your sink, or even a big fancy mirror, who doesn’t love one of those?!
